About us
Vision & Core Values
Astrology, at its best, is a discipline of attention. It asks the practitioner to look carefully at the structure of time and to interpret what is found there — without fear, without exaggeration and without false certainty.
At Angira Jyotish, our work is rooted in the tradition passed down through Pt. S.K. Sharma (1925–1999), refined by Pt. B.L. Sharma (1958–2026) and carried forward today by Pt. Lalit Sharma. Three generations of practice have taught us that astrology is most useful when it is honest about what it can and cannot do.
We do not predict doom. We do not promise miracles. We offer careful analysis of birth charts, planetary periods and traditional methods — presented clearly, in both English and Hindi, so that the person consulting us can make their own informed decisions.
Our tools — including the Panchang and knowledge resources — are designed to make traditional astrological information accessible without dumbing it down. We believe that serious content can be presented simply, and that respect for the reader means giving them complete information rather than hiding behind jargon.
KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) forms an important part of our analytical approach. This system, developed in the 20th century, added a layer of precision to traditional Vedic astrology by introducing sub-divisional lordship based on the Vimshottari Dasha system. We use KP methods where they add genuine analytical value.
We also believe that astrology should never replace professional advice in matters of health, law, finance or crisis. Our guidance is interpretive — it offers a perspective, not a prescription.
